So what? It doesn't matter if the CTS-V has more horsepower than the BMW M5, I would still purchase the M5. Cadillac is a nice car but I have more respect for BMW.

Lastly, anyone who cares to own a vehicle such as these, is going to do their homework first. It makes sense when saying goodbye to this much money. Car magazines, and videos of these cars competing will have to give kudos to Cadillac for even building this. I already know V beats all it's contenders in all the numbers. Whether it's price, MPG, or precious seconds ticking, it's all about numbers. If U can't see that, U failed already because U didn't do your homework.

Thing is Cadillac has made 1 car, that can cost thousands less than any AMG, M, or S, and beat them at their game of speed and handling. None of them can make a faster car without mentioning the CTS-V, and that's more free publicity for Cadillac. Even if the NEW twin turbo M5 has more power, GM can drop in the ZR1 motor. Also BMW doesn't own patent on the worlds fastest reacting suspension, so handling will suffer next to the V. Crazy thing is all nay sayers will want to see this car in person.

Even though I talked to 1 guy, he mirrors many peoples feelings. Be sure of it. The present CTS is worlds better than the last, and the worlds car mags have noticed, and so have the buying public, with CTS sales 55% better in only it's first 6 months to market. Any1 with the resources to own an M5, definetly has the internet, and have seen the CTS-V. The Nurbergring stunt has already made it a true contender. Are you saying there won't be any M5's on Cadillacs lots come October?

The stupid idea is that double hump dashboard in the BMW's with navigation. On Long Island, at 2 Caddy dealers, I've noticed traded in 5s for..wait for it..the CTS. A die hard german car lover on my job had to recently admit that owning a German car is too expensive and they don't have that special feeling he used to get before. He even admits that he checked out the Pontiac G8 and CTS, because he's aware that GM has stepped up their game. Any1 who claims to know cars will have to admit that.

Dont worry BMW is working a twin turbo version of the m5. Don't know if it will remain v10 or v8, but you know how successful the tt's have been in the 1 series right up to the X6. So Cadillac, soak up all the praise for being the fastest saloon on the planet for now!!

You would be surprised to find so many previous M car owners in the current list of CTS-V owners list. Also the last CTS-V did have a huge issue with the rear end setup (ironically the rear end diff was made by a german company). There is definitely a huge confusion between classification of the cts since it fits 5 class by size and 3 series by price

Cadillac still needs time to redeem itself. The last cts-v was GARBAGE. everyone is saying the cts-v will steal m5 buyers, HOW! The M5 alone outsells the entire v-series lineup. Yes the new cts-v is AMAZING! but like i said the last cts-v was so bad that cadillac is trying a different approach. Cadillac seems confused. What do you compare the CTS-V to the m3 or m5? and they have been focused on true luxury for so long that people don't see Cadillac as a luxury sport brand yet. It will take time.

you make it sound as if LS motor isn't easy and cheap to mod and there aren't any tuners available
